Divisions ~ Office of the Secretary

The Office of the Secretary has the role of providing an interface between the Department and the Offices of the Minister for Tourism, Arts and the Environment. It also provides specialist and strategic advice on communication issues, policy and projects and information management - including marketing support through the internal and external promotion of Departmental activities and achievements.

The Office of the Secretary is responsible for providing the Ministers' Offices and the Secretary with information, answers to correspondence, briefing papers and other documents, as well as meeting requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act 1991. It also provides executive support to the Department's senior management team.
